SEO copywriter freelance
I’ve been a reader and writer since early childhood. Had little published in childhood – apart from having work read out in class, assemblies and displayed on walls at primary and middle schools in Thorne, Doncaster.
English has always been central to my life – I’ve always loved language, though I am mono-lingual, sadly.
What this has morphed into in recent years is to have become a freelance SEO copywriter.
I can help your business too with SEO copywriting
How?
When I was writing at 4 or 14, my audience was physical – teachers, peers, friends, family.
From 22 years of age to 49, I taught English to GCSE and A level, but since 2015, I’ve written for a new audience – online customers.
You have a website (or don’t have one), I optimise the contents by working out what:
- Your customers are searching for
- What volume of searches there are
- How well your website and social media channels satisfies these searches
Organic search
What you are trying to achieve is to get your website rising for organic search phrases with decent search volumes.
Let me explain.
I’ve been on an office makeover mission.
Need a second computer as wife (and son) are now officially part of this business.
I did what any savvy consumer does:
- Decided what I wanted to buy
- Created a list and budget
- Spent days researching choices on Google
- Made decisions on what to buy and when
- Chose companies to order from
A new monitor saw me spending time asking for recommendations, reading reviews and watching YouTube.
Ditto with the Logitech keyboard and mouse.
And with a new processor and standing desk.
I’ve now ordered all
Because of the Working from Home boom, choice for all these was limited and it skewed the buying process. It’s no accident though that I bought the Logitech keyboard, mouse and sit stand desk from suppliers I found high on Google. All were price competitive and all convinced me to buy.
The desk supplier had blog posts about the benefits of standing to work and that partly swung it.
And?
My point is that those companies who featured prominently on search and provided me with helpful content won my money. Don’t get me wrong. I did have multiple choices and the buying decision for the desk took a week to make. But I made decisions and that company darn sarf who got my desk dosh did content marketing well.
I’ll show the desk when it arrives.
How does this relate to my business?
You want to be found online. You may not be able to dominate key national search terms. I can’t for “web design” or “freelance web design” but I sit on page 1 of Google for key small volume search terms. Some have 30 searches a month but I get leads and orders from these.
You need someone like me who has software that can pinpoint what exact words and phrases your customers are looking for. I can audit your current website content and fix issues. I can tweak existing content. I can add a blog page and optimised posts that will, in time, see you rise for these search terms.
I’ve done it time and time again for businesses.
I am retained currently by about 11 companies for SEO copywriting freelance
There’s zero tie in. One client has retained me for almost 5 years now, others a year or so.
You pay me an agreed set fee per month and let me loose on SEO copywriting.
Packages start from £250 per month
Yes, £250 + VAT – read more here.
I find what is being searched for, improve your website content and implement a blogging strategy that will get you climbing Google.
It won’t happen overnight, or in a month. Google has 200 factors for ranking. One of them is time. Blog posts that answer search questions will climb Google but it can take up to 9 months.
I know because a post I crafted in January 2020 landed on page one of Google in September 2020.
Patience is a virtue – as is having someone who knows what they’re doing – me.
Finally, instead of believing me, look at Google reviews and this very recent one from David Hammond of “Seymour Sign and Print” in Manchester:
I’ve had the displeasure of working with a number of ‘SEO Experts’, ‘Marketing Experts’, ‘Web Designers’, who charged the earth for zero ROI, and every conceivable excuse.
Stuart from Get Pro Copy was a breath of fresh air. Firstly his no nonsense approach, not getting bogged down with paperwork and contracts, but an informal chat we learnt about each other, our businesses, and clicked from day one.
No elaborate promises, just straight talking, honest service.
So what’s he done? Revamped an existing website we’d built in house, it’s now more aesthetically pleasing, along with more functional. Adding content to the site, that’s relevant to our business, rather than writing content to generate poor quality traffic.
We’ve since continued to work with Stuart providing exceptional value for money, and his service far exceeds some of the larger agencies we’ve worked with.
